Wine Retailer Association Augments Member Benefits With Shipping Discounts

Longtime wine colleague Tom Wark has been carrying the banner for the National Association of Wine Retailers. It’s been a great gig for him. I just got a press release, and I’m providing it in its entirety, because – well – it’s well written and anything I’d write would only be anecdotal. I haven’t kept […]

In Wine PR, what went around has come back around

Two very thoughtful pieces, one written by wine blogger Tom Wark and another one by Steve Heimoff, are telling the story I’ve also been watching unfold, as clients continue to narrow their wine samples releases down to those wine writers who remain in power. Unfortunately, there’s a hierarchy of who will and does have influence […]

Hence, I’d like to ask you whether I can send you a few interview questions to introduce you on our Z-BLOG? Let me know. Thank you and have a nice week, Nenad I thought, sure, why not… let’s see […]

An Impatient Publicist©

“An Impatient Publicist” will be the name of my book, when it’s published, because I am she. I’ll have my soap opera Cheesecake in the Vines buried in there somewhere, because it’s too good of a story to be left unwritten, and I’d like to develop these characters of intrigue. I didn’t write about the […]

Wine Blog Awards ~ The Voting Has Begun

For the last five years, I’ve been writing my brains out in my wine journal (this blog). What I’ve learned about wine blogging, and what I’ve learned about the Wine Blog Awards: About wine blogging: It’s good to have an editor… and I do pay someone to help me with my wine blog… but sometimes […]

Well, Gary Vee Tricked Me

From my years of being in the wine business, on September 8, 2008, I observed that Gary Vay*ner*chuk would be the next Parker. For most of the established wine world, that was a daring statement and pretty inconceivable. For the millennial generation, that prediction was dead on, and they knew it. Now everyone’s writing about […]
