Wines for the season with reasons: Langlois and Domaine Pichot
We enjoyed bubbles during Christmas dining and so I highly recommend the following two wines, because they have flavors that delight and effervescence I crave.
After tasting and enjoying, I highly recommend Domaine Pichot, which slid right down like cilia silk on a Christmas mission, for pleasure and kindness. And, I highly recommend Domaine Pichot, for it freshness, excitement in the glass, high quality and worthiness. Both wines were true delights. So, let’s explore, for both novices and experts alike.

The magic of wine
Step 1: Langlois Cremant, Domaine Pichot
What is Méthode Traditionnelle
This is for those new to the words, the rest of you, just jump over this part.
From Mumm Napa Valley, “Sparkling wines are made using an intricate process called Méthode Traditionnelle — the same time-honored approach used to make French Champagnes.” The intricate process involves the following steps. It begins in the vineyards, with the growing of proper wine grapes, both a white grape and a red one. The white variety is Chardonnay, and the red variety is Pinot Noir.
For a bit of varietal (adjective) variety (noun), the acceptance of adding Pinot Gris and Pinot Meunier (red variety with fruiter flavors) blended with the wines being made is cool and groovy. The intricate process involves the following steps. It begins in the vineyards, with the growing of proper wine grapes, both a white grape and a red one. The white variety is Chardonnay, and the red variety is Pinot Noir.

Hands of male conductor are like hands of a winemaker
Think of an orchestra and how a conductor works with its musical components to create the opus. If you want more of this Cremant lesson, please go to Mumm Napa Valley‘s page. I have so much more to write with this story. Thanks for understanding.

Step 2: The Wines
Our first foray with this delicious Langlois-Chateau Cremant de Loire Brut Reserve we shared on Christmas day. It produced wonderful memories, which are flavors and experiences that still linger. We had children and grandchildren witnessing. It doesn’t get better or more fortunate than that, for me. The familiarity, the expressions, the love with our family, and this bubbly wine were all right at home, and thankful for each moment.
I even had wine special wine flutes to set the stage with textures, curiosity, and enchantment, which was due to their sensuous and sinuous textures. Keep them busy is my motto. You can buy them also, if you have an interest. It’s not an ad. This is a passion I’ve developed from IWA, and I have stories already told with their experiences.
The wine, yes the wine, it just went down like cilia silk on a Christmas mission for pleasure and kindness. The grape varieties are the following: Chenin Blanc, by at least 50 percent (of which 10 percent is from reserve wines), Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc. Aha! one of my favorite varieties was slipped in there. No wonder I love it so much. Cab France just speaks to me, I have no other way to explaining it. We’re all learning here.

Domaine Pichot
Domaine Pichot, let’s go! We were now deep into Christmas, the bottles went around the table, and along came Domaine Pichot. i was born and raised in Maine, so French is almost a given. I have no doubt, from it’s French culture from immigrants arriving through Canada, that the Bernier side of my family found their to Lewiston, with its textile factories. My grandfather was a child of the time, third grade who left school and was involved with child labor. It happened and he went on to be very prominent. Another story, another time.
From their website: Since 1770, Domaine Pichot has embodied the Pichot family’s winemaking heritage in Vouvray. “Rooted in clay-limestone and clay-flint soils, our family has cultivated exceptional vineyards with dedication.” This includes Le Marigny, Peu de la Moriette, and Coteau de la Biche.
What the 2018 Domaine Pichot delivered was excitement, love, deliciousness, age that has been very generous, and thankful for their presence/present – this sparkling wine. I highly recommend this wine for its freshness, excitement in a glass, and high quality for it’s price of $26.99 right now. You can buy it now through the importer.

It’s important to note that the children enjoyed non alcoholic beverage with us. Personally, due to my French background I enjoy if they take a sip, so they don’t gulp when they become adults. It’s how I learned to enjoy wine, and takes it the anxious mystery away from wine, both for tasting and enjoying with food.
