The following is a list of holiday Christmas gifts related to wine to delight peoples’ hearts. I’m opening with “Stikky Wine,” because it is the most delightful wine book EVER, so affordable, and going onto my Wine Book page.

“Stikky Wines” is a very affordable and great entry-to-wine book
Best Wine Book for Beginners
Stikky Books is a very affordable and great entry-to-wine book for only $12.00, and the most delightful wine book EVER. I wish to gawd I had started with this one, way back when! It’s engaging and a simply unique learning approach. It takes something fairly complex and breaks it down into the lowest common denominator… Like easy peasy, and you’re on your way. It breaks down wine into SIX aroma families and THREE essential characteristics. It’s so engaging, fun, and has focused chatter, allowing people to understand and explain wine in just an hour!
Example: “Nearly ten million years ago, our ancestors stumbled upon overripe fruit fermenting on the ground. It had a strong, interesting smell, so they gave it a nibble. That was our first taste of alcohol…10,000,000 years ago.” It’s not going away anytime soon, boys and girls. I kid you not! Well worth $12, and a great Christmas and/or birthday gift, for anyone, really. I’d be ordering this book for sales, if I had a tasting room.

Holiday Flutes from IWA Stemware – Their Flute image. Jo enhanced the rest of the picture.
Best Sparkling Wine Flutes
Confession and advice… I bought my first six flutes at Domaine Carneros. I have to admit, I saw them after the most delicious sparkling wine tasting with paired foods I had ever had. When I walked into their lobby there they were, in all their splendor. I brought a set of six home. It was love at first sight, and begs the “be careful what you ask for” memory, to save you the mistake. I took them from their box, washed and dried them, and as I was putting them in my china closet, I had a naughty thought.
“If I break one, I’ll just order six more!” Yeah, no. I didn’t break one while washing them and putting them on my counter to dry. Once one started to tumble, it took two more with it. I only (carefully) then put three away, and went right to the IWA Accessories site, because I couldn’t find them on the Domaine Carneros site. If they sound interesting and fun (sans breakage), it’s under the title of “NEW Mardi Gras Flutes Set of 6.”

MASCHIO 2025 for a holiday sparkling Prosecco wine (non-alcoholic)
Best Non-Alcohol Sparkling Prosecco
I had a sample of the non vintage Maschio Sparkling Prosecco (Zero Alcohol) for Thanksgiving, which I really appreciated. I had a virus and didn’t want to enjoy any alcohol, therefore this was a perfect solution. It also meant that my 14-year old grandson, who really doesn’t enjoy any sodas, found he loved the Maschio to go with his dinner. I was honestly shocked, because he’s refused anything with bubbles, including any sodas. Just sniffing wines has him turning away.
I personally loved having the non-alcohol Maschio. I’ve also enjoyed, expanding my palate this season. Giving credible answers to what I’d recommend for non-alcoholic wines, now means that between the Maschio and the recent Riunite, I now have answers.
