I received an email from Tom Drogue, Wine-Collector.Live — Introducing the first ChatGPT Style ChatBot for the Wine Collecting Ecosystem. “Wine-Collector.Live” threw me off, however. This is a high tech request and NOT for an auction. This image was further down in the email, and I was on my phone, not my computer, so, I just hadn’t gotten there yet. I read this to mean an auction was coming.
If Only It Wasn’t A Saturday
I’ve often been contacted by representatives of wine auctions, and I thought that this was another one based on the name of Wine-Collector.Live. I quickly responded: Hi, Tom, Do you know, is there an auction house that handles US Patents? I had an uncles’ original patent for the automatic transmission that superseded other. This was the one that actually did the mechanical shifting on it’s own, Circa Oct. 11, 1938.

Finding the right touchstone came from my naivete, because I misunderstood Tom’s original email, still It took me down a path I’ve wanted for a very long time, so I decided to ask a favor:
It turned out to be much more than that, as you read above. Tom had provided me with a way to enhance my investigative skills to find a house that would be interest in my historical document.
