Good Day to Drink By The Pool

I was asked if I’d like to receive a sample of the “best bag ever.” It’s not what they called it, but in my day-to-day life I now really do. As luck would have it, we have a pool, and I can’t wait for pool weather to come around again. In fact, I yearn for warmer days, and having this bag by the pool with me.

 

Backstory

When I was a young mother, my children would say, “I want this,” or “I want that.” And I’d answer, “Yeah, and I want a swimming pool in our living room.” That was code for, “Yeah, whadaya, nuts?” Fast forward to more adulthood, when I was invited to visit our friend Corinne, who was living in a mountainside neighborhood. As we drove to her home for the first time, I ooo’d and aaah’d as we climbed the mountainside, overlooking Alexander Valley, in Sonoma County.

 

Now I Can Say, It’s a Good Day ~ I was given a great bag by Panache Apparel. I decided to take it everywhere with me. It’s very easy to spot this bag. I felt a bit like Dr. Seuss. “You can spot here, and there, and you can spot it everywhere.”  So, pictures were taken. The best part? I really love it, and was stopped by people wanting to read it, to see it, to feel it, and to find the labels, so they know where they can get one, too.

 

All I could think was, “how amazing is THIS!” When we knocked on her door, Corinne came to us beaming, and then all I could see was – straight ahead. It felt like the pool was just shy of being in the living room. There it was, “a swimming pool within 20 feet. OMG, it’s so me!” A year of so later, Corinne decided to move on, and we decided to move in.  And, so begins this Good Day to Drink By The Pool story.

Panache

And so does my Panache canvas bag. Who knew someone would make a perfect bag for me, for what I had declared as an outlandish dream. I really love this bag, and was stopped by people wanting to read it, see it, feel it, and find the labels, so they’d know where to get one, too. I began living the dream.

 

Here We Go, Doctor Seuss Style

I can take it here, I can take it there, because I can take it anywhere.

To a birthday party, and then we celebrate!

Or to Napa Valley, because doesn’t everybody need a big bag for that?

I can take it to the grocery store, because I might find something to match it.

Or, to the Farmer’s Market, certainly I only need one bag.

And when the day is done, in summary, it’s important to reorganize how much room this study canvas bag has. All of this items above easily fit into the bag, when I went to a wine event in Suisun Valley. That includes even leftovers from dinner at the Rutherford Grill, in St. Helena.

Challenge Accepted

I quickly learned a lot of things. The fist thing, though, is that I really appreciate the serious quality of this bag. Pool? Cool! But it’s now going everywhere with me.
