As 2025 begins, I’ve received some really interesting press releases. The following are my 2025 best launches, so far.

Best Press Releases to start 2025.
Why Doesn’t The W.H.O. Go After Pharmaceutical Side Effects?
Why doesn’t the W.H.O. go after pharmaceuticals’ side effects or even poisonous plants? It vehemently as it goes after wine, beer, or hard liquor, yet pharmaceutical products containing similar side effects. They also have a negative impact on people who end up overdosing? So, I queried, for example, “Can sex enhancing drugs cause death?” The answer is, “Yes, in certain circumstances, when sex enhancing drugs, particularly when used improperly or by individuals with per-existing health conditions, are used.” This also includes, “can potentially lead to death, primarily due to severe cardiovascular complications like heart attacks or sudden drops in blood pressure, especially when combined with other medications like nitrates.”
Here’s the deal, anything we put into our mouths, including plants. On the list of poisonous plants are poison oak, poison sumac, poison ivy, milky sap plants are also poison, hemlock, tobacco, oleander, and nightshade, can also cause death. Driving recklessly, can also cause death. Life is really just full of risks.
Moderation has always been the magic key to living well
This is why I choose wine over beer or hard liquor, as I’m not an alcoholic. I enjoy the lifestyle and the people who also enjoy getting together and sharing their stories over food and wine. Please note the children are having orange juice.

Brazil Experienced A Record-Breaking 2024 Year
Brazil is the third most important wine producer in South America, which experienced a record-breaking year for international tourism in 2024. This was the headline. For South America, “Brazil’s tourism sector achieved remarkable success in 2024, setting new records and positioning the country as a leading destination. The comprehensive data was released by the Ministry of Tourism Embratur.” Additionally, research reveals impressive growth and promising future prospects, including wine tourism.
Monthly highlights begins with December 2024, which saw 690,236 foreign visitors. This is an 11.1 percent increase, compared to December 2023. This figure represents the third-best December, since 1995. All of this underscores the consistent growth in Brazil’s tourism sector.
Statistics
Brazil is one of the top wine source countries, and had 6,657,377 visitors. Argentina had 1,953,548 visitors, while Paraguay and Uruguay combined had a total of over 833,412 visitors. The US had 696,512 tourists, and Chile was close behind the US with 651,776 arrivals. Brazil is slightly smaller than the US in area. ^Edited: In 2024, the US projected 77,700,000* Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) tourists.

Spero Studio
This one made my heart sing, because in 2002, I had a dream of needing more diversity in the wine business. I made it happen, by working it into a reality. I met with Dr. Ernest A. Bates, who showed me Vision Cellars wine in Napa Valley’s Brix Restaurant’s store. Ernie knew about Mac McDonald of Vision Cellars. I had a meeting with Mac and his wife Lil. That’s when I knew Mac was the prefect person to be the founder of AAAV (Association of African American Vintners). And so, it was launched.
Spero Studio sent an Email entitled, “Introducing the 2025 Culture-Forward™ Calendar: Your Gateway to Authentic Connections.” As I went through the site, I was able to see how far the effort for African Americans has come, in general. Our wine community has played a role, and I’m now witnessing off shoots. All efforts further expand the dreams for African American vintners. Spero Studio offers the African American community a pathway to continued growth. This is how they think. “Don’t just stand out. Stand for something.” They are a fully integrated communications agency, which helps organizations and candidates. They believe their campaigns build support, shift public opinion, and bring their mission to life. These are lofty goals, indeed.

Solo Roberto
Then there’s a communication from Roberto D’Innocenzo of Solo Roberto of Gallese, Italy , because it’s a brand I’m closely watching, connected to Michael Yurch of Bluest Sky Wines. Roberto has been in the US market before. His wine is exceptional and gets great reviews internationally. He has one of those wineries doing everything right. Now that he has current vintages, again, he would like to get back into the US. with his wines. For imported wines, being in the US means a lot to their brands. It’s like the saying about New York City, “If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.”
I’m sharing a review Luca Maroni, who’s reviewed wines since 1988. Luca Maroni has tasted over 300.000 wines, up to 2016. I don’t have any facts or figures since then. We need to know this is a man with credentials similar to Robert Parker, Jr. of the United States, and he’s still tasting today.
Wholesalers have too many options, and life is a lot easier for them if they don’t have to import, is the only thing I can figure out. There are still small wholesale companies, and these are the resources to engage. It just takes a longer process.
I also tasted this wine and it is “Appetitoso/a/i/e,” (This means “appetizing” or “tasty” and can be used to describe food or wine that looks and aromas are delicious.)
