Do We Believe Global Warming Yet?
With a title like the following, I really do hope that more people are beginning to pay closer attention. “Global wine production falls to lowest level since 1961,” was seen in Decanter magazine. The subtitle reads, “has plummeted to a 63 year low.” This was followed by, “after frost, heavy rains and drought ravaged vineyards throughout 2024.” To read the entire story, in Decanter, just click through.
Some startling revelations begin with, “Lowest output in 20 years for the Southern Hemisphere.” And, “the data from the Northern Hemisphere is still fresh, as the harvest has just concluded, but significant declines are anticipated.” Then, “However, the reduced production may help France to ease the current oversupply crisis that has gripped the global wine industry. There is a positive note, however. “In the first seven months of 2024, global wine trade recorded a 2.7% increase, with a 2% decline in value.”
And, reflecting a “potentially rising demand and reduced inflationary pressures, which could support consumer spending and reduce producers’ costs.”

Rosé Revolution: The Global Journey of the World’s Most Beloved Wine
With a title like the above, I’m already inspired to read it and to also add it to my wine book library. Here is the well done pitch:
Title: Rosé Revolution [Interlink Books, November 2024] is the ultimate coffee table book. It is for wine lovers, who are celebrating the rise of rosé over the past 20 years. Written by wine enthusiasts Rasmus Emborg and Jens Honoré, it explores the stories of 13 top producers from around the world. And it takes readers behind the scenes of this wine phenomenon.
Rosé is no longer just a summer favorite. It’s now a staple for any occasion, with one in three bottles of wine sold in France being rosé! It’s a bridge between red and white, inclusive, and perfect for wine newbies and aficionados alike. Rosé Revolution dives into the passion, quality, and craftsmanship behind this booming category, showcasing the winemakers who made it happen. It has stunning photos and firsthand stories from producers who sparked the rosé revolution. And this beautifully illustrated book is a must-have for any wine lover.
About the Authors: Rasmus Emborg is a journalist who has worked in the media industry for 25 years. He is the author of Beer Brothers (2019) about twin beer brewers, Mikkel Borg-Bjergsø and Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø. He and his wife own a small vineyard in Provence. The grapes are mainly used for rosé wine, and the production takes place at a local cooperative.

Rosé Revolution by Rasmus Emborg and Jens Honoré, my wine library (of the book kind) awaits.

Gifts for Dad – Affiliate-Friendly Products He Can Use + Wear Daily
If dad is suffering from aches and pain from slouching while on his computer, help Forme improves his posture! The eco-friendly made Core Tee by Forme® is an FDA-registered patented posture active wear. It actually improves the alignment and effectively rehabs neck, back, and shoulder pain. I can swear to this claim, because my husband sits at his computer in a 9:00 to 5:00 day, and I watch him strain, while working on code. I was given the opportunity to have a sample, and I couldn’t resist the temptation. It’s working, that’s all I can say, besides it being a gift from the company and the universe.
The invention was created for anyone with posture and spinal disorders, as well as poor posture (like coding). It’s a reality for people who live on their computers. It’s just a reminder to straighten up and fly right. It’s made from eco-friendly Tencel fabric, and the Core Tee is constructed of different materials and thin layers. It’s then all stitched together. The Forme tech inner layer is fused across the shoulder blades, creating an elastic-band sensation. It took my husband time to adjust; but when worn, the fused section wants to remain tight. And this, no matter how broad someone is across the shoulders, makes shoulders pull back to their natural position. This is reteaching the body and diaphragm to open. It’s a reconstruction miracle!
