I finally made time to clear cobwebs from my mind and desk. I know it’s due to attention deficit and I always want to take on everything life has to offer all at once. Pictures tell a thousand words, right? I’m delivering short, sweet renditions about each wine, due to their values and delicious flavors, and just knowing a bit about them. The flavors you’ll be defining on your own palate, however I’ll let you know how they delivered on mine. Everyone has his or her own palate.
And, let me address the dust bunnies, in Sipping Seductions & Dust Bunnies. Every single wine that I’ve presented I loved. You’ll notice that the bottles are showing wear and tear. I keep them in a container next to my desk, and I don’t dust them off, because I can barely keep my desk in perfect order. Sorry bottles, good intentions, but this house has 36 windows, 10 of which are doors. Photo at the bottom so you’ll understand the doors.

Dust bunnies, and you thought I was joking? Don Pascual, Pescaito, Castel Pujol, Bico Amarelo, Las Rocas, Fuerza de la Tierra, Famiglia Pasqua, Ameal Loureiro, and Pazo Baión.
Don Pascual Coastal Tannat 2022 ~ Uruguay
Tannat wines boast a full-bodied character, consequently resulting in rich flavors and strong tannins, thus needing an acquired taste. Primarily grown in Juanicó, Uruguay, near the 34th parallel of the French Pyrénées, the Deicas family established their winery. By combining new process technologies with their own production protocols, they have explicitly developed a unique winemaking approach. Moreover, the conjunction of terroir, innovation, and talent contributes to the distinctive qualities of Tannat wines produced by the Deicas family. For flavors, this wine had hints of strawberries and venison on the finish.

El Pescaito Vino Blanco White ~ Spain
Bodegas Vicente Gandia, El Pescaito Merseguera – White Wine (a true value in everyday wines.). Remember, the cost of living outside the U.S. is less, therefore production costs producing comparable wines are less. Vicente Gandía has always been characterized by their international efforts and their wines are enjoyed in more than 90 countries on five continents. They are true to their international efforts, accordingly the United States is one of them. The grapes are harvested during August and September, by using the best value varieties for good quality in the wines. This was a refreshing white wine on a hot summer day, sipping by the pool, and undeniably delicious.

Las Rocas BODEGAS SAN ALEJANDRO, Garnacha 2017 ~ Spain

Bodega Isidro Milagro Fuerza de la Tierra Tempranillo 2019 ~ Spain
The Bodega Isidro Milagro is located in Rioja’s northern region of Spain. Furthermore, the winery is in the town of Alfaro, within the Rioja Oriental sub-region. It’s especially known for high-quality Tempranillo grapes with excellent growing conditions. The winery is located on Avenida del Ebro, which is just off the Ebro River, a significant geographical feature that helps shape the terroir of the area. Their vineyards range from approximately 1,000 to 2,500 feet, consequently providing special qualities to the grapes. They produce white, rosé, and red wines, each with their own unique personality and special characteristics. The flavors of this wine were dried fig, cherry, some cedar, and lingering tobacco.
Famiglia Pasqau Valpolicella Superiore 2020 ~ Italy
Ah, Valpolicella, and Superiore at that, this is a very special wine, certainly to the last drop. There should be a ditty to go along with this on. It was certainly and as rich as a Black Baccara Rose, and silky velvet. Valpolicella is a blended wine, basically with so many options, consequently I don’t expect a distinctly defined flavor. This is a few wines going into a Valpolicella. The mainstay is Corvina, then any of the following can be blended in; Corvina, which contributes bright, lively, and balanced flavors. Other grapes that may be included in the blend are Barbera, Bigolona, Corvinone, Molinara, Negrara, Rondinella, Rosignola, and Sangiovese.

Pazo Baión Albariño 2020 ~ Spain
Albariño is a favorite white wine for me, and this one was refreshingly delicious with a collection of flavors. I found flavors of honeydew melon, nectarine, a lemon zest, certainly setting the stage for delicious foods. Keep these options in mind, when you’re picking up a bottle for dinner, because they will all fit; sea foods, salads, both hard and soft cheeses, vegetarian, and sushi dishes. As for the company, they have a captivating story, five centuries long. They encourage people to enjoy their wines while, while discovering bit of their history. They believe that architecture and, above all, a passion for a way of understanding things, is their greatest asset.

Quinto do Ameal Loureiro Vinho Verde 2021 ~ Portugal
Quinto do Ameal is a product of Esporão, in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Having visited the winery, it holds a really special place in my heart. The name literally translates to “green wine.” One might think it is actually a reference to the wine’s youthful freshness, rather than its color. Herdade do Esporão’s was a pioneer in Portugal and all of its wines are rock solid! Borrowing from what I’ve already written about them… “This part of my story is like a return visit to that old friend.” What I care most about this wine brand, besides the wine, is that nature inspires them. “We respect and protect it, building a more promising future.” Bravo, wine with a conscience.

Esporão Bico Amarelo 2021 Vinho Verde ~ Portugal
Another wine from Esporão, this one was also delicious. This one represents the diversity of the region and its main varieties. It is light and refreshing, and it’s aromas will draw you right in. There were 4,250 cases produced, so it’s a substantial amount for exporting. I also love the Riesling style bottle, because it makes it really easy to spot on the shelf, when you’re shopping. The ethics of a company have a great deal of impact on the future of wines, too, in my opinion. This from Esporão about non-conformity: “We want a better world with opportunities and dreams to pursue. We are bold regarding what we propose to do, believing that the effort and persistence to achieve this will help us find new ways forward. We take risks, allowing room for mistakes and to chance to learn from them.” The are MORE than just great wine!

Castel Pujol Folklore Tinto 2023 ~ Uruguay
Last, but certainly not least, Castel Pujol Folklore’s Tinto 2023. Another wine from Uruguay, South America, that’s part of the Cerrochapeu Collections. The wine was truly delicious, and that is probably because they’re dedicated to art. This occurs whether it’s in winemaking or having a cohesive label to represent a large, naturally occurring community of flora and fauna. All of their labels have this whimsy. Animal lovers are drawn to labels with animals, just like I was drawn to flowers, when I first starting buy wine to enjoy. “Cerro Chapeu was born from the tradition that our family has dedicated to wine for more than ten generations, started in Catalonia by Francisco Carrau Vehils in 1752, and in Uruguay since 1930.”
