I got an Email and thought, “BARRA of Mendocino is offering a wonderful way to honor moms, with a Mother’s Day brunch?” … How lovely is that, and I wish I still had my mother, so I could honor her. Instead, I still remember her last words to me.
She had been looking up to the ceiling at her welcoming party; only people she could see… the rest of us just had to trust her. [She had earlier asked, “Who are all of those people on the ceiling?” None of my siblings could see anything.]
When I walked into her hospice room and said, “Hi, Mum!” She answered, “Well, you never know who you’re going to meet!” (Classic…)
