Happy Valentine’s Day from PS I ♥ You, Inc.! Only five days to go for Dark & Delicious. Tickets (click here to purchase) still remain, as we get closer to our sell out…

Another great wine event, which Dark & Delicious is delighted to sponsor, is the The Pinot Noir Summit.

Barbara Drady, the Wine Evangelist,  shares my passion for the wine business and educating people in the delightful process. Each year, she holds her Pinot Noir Summit a couple of weeks after my Dark & Delicious event. If you can get to both, you’ve spanned the entire red spectrum, so to speak… with all the passion in between.

I love that Barbara has made Pinot Noir so accessible in the Bay Area to everyone, at such interesting levels. [Image: Ellen Landis, sommelier]

The Pinot Noir Summit is $125.00. This includes a Blind Tasting, Workshops,a Reception & an Awards Ceremony. That’s a lot for only $125.00. If that’s too much for your wallet, you can simply attend the Pinot Noir Shootout Grand Awards Tasting for $80.00. Or… Meet Pinot Noir winemakers in an intimate setting $125.00.

There’s a wide range of things to do evolving around this luscious Pinot grape.

I just wrote a diary about how much work goes into putting on any wine event. For the labor of love that the Wine Evangelist puts into this event for you, it’s a bargain. Just remember, the Mustard Festival is not happening for this year, unless the organizers could come up with $200,000. It takes a village (and a lot of capital) to put on a wine event. The real benefactors are always those who get to attend.

Only 300 tickets are sold for The Pinot Noir Summit each year. It continues to be a sell out, and they expect the ninth annual to be no different. Get your tickets early before they’re gone!

Details, found at Affairs of the Vine:

The Pinot Noir Summit, one of the best Pinot Noir events in the world, returns to the Bay Area for its 9th year on February 26, 2011.

Pinot Noir can be mysterious and somewhat intimidating. This event creates fun, excitement, and allows people to trust their own palates.

If you love Pinot Noir or just want to know what all the fuss is about, you must attend this interactive, educational and fun event.
