How can I ever forget standing in a tasting room and talking about the benefits of wine on one’s health, only to be called into “the back office” by my supervisor right after the visitors left, and told, “Don’t you ever talk about that again.”

“What?” I thought. “Is she kidding?”

In the early 1990s, the mere mention of wine as a beverage that had health benefits put the fear of death into more than one person responsible for marketing wine… Although, I never got why.

I’ve always been interested in health; constantly connecting the dots between what I put into my body and its relevance toward health. I bought into “you are what you eat” by the 1960s, produced and hosted a “Modern Health” segment for WBLM in the 80s, and to find out about Reservatrol in wine in the 90s was excellent information.

Now, it’s August of 2008.
