Only the heartiest of palates are salivating about this one, but they’re out there. That’s what we all learned last year when PS I Love You’s Dark & Delicious was held at Rosenblum Cellars.
This year’s food and wine event is going to be held at the Palace of Fine Arts.
There are going to be 36 wineries pouring, and lots of food to match with Petite Sirah. After having worked with ZAP for so many years, Kent Rosenblum suggested that PSILY create a similar event. We held it last year for the first time, thinking that an inaugural event might bomb.
Far from it!
A sell out, every brand is returning (signed up within five days of being told that the event was going to happen again), and just about doubled (20 brands last year to become 36 this year).
Consider that there are only 7,000+ acres of PS worldwide, now consider that 6,000+ of them are in California. It’s definitely a California cultivar… Cultivar being the opreative word.
PS members are beginning to realize that this cultivar has cultivated a cult group… Die hards who can’t enough color, flavor, texture, and tannins in their wines… And they’re not spreading the word, because they don’t care about “membership.” Far from mainstream, they care about remaining cult and enjoying the benefits of being the few, the proud, and the passionate… And they’ll be at it again this February 8, 2008, at 6:00 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the www.psiloveyou.org Website.
