The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of New Year’s Eve celebrations is sparkling wine. I just love Champagne and California sparkling. So that is why this week I visited J Vineyards & Winery. They have a variety of sparkling wines to fit the bill. Their bubbly ranges from the appetizers to the New Year’s toast. And as always their Pinot Noirs are phenomenal!

The tasting room is open daily from 11am to 5pm and offers a variety of options to their visitors. For a nominal fee you can enjoy the food and wine pairing at the main bar, always fun and definitely worth it. Other options include tours, the Wine Club Room and the Bubble Room; reservations are required, but the attention to detail is exceptional.
The Bubble Room is a tasting salon with seating and table service. The selection changes regularly, one of the current offerings is the Indulgence Flight; pairing delicate caviars and exquisite sparkling.
If you are local to the Sonoma County area, the J Wine Club , is one that I highly recommend. When you join the wine club you have the option to request being a “Pick-Up Client”. This means you won’t automatically have your wine shipments sent to you; you will be notified that the wines are available and you are invited to a Pick-Up Party. I joined the wine club for the Pick-Up Parties alone. Good times. J Vineyards & Winery hosts the most fabulous events, offering an abundance of sparkling and current vintages with the chef’s choice of perfectly paired nibbles. All of this set to the sound of local musicians.
