1800 Silver Tequila Reserve, 100% Agave ~ A sweet nose of vanilla custard and caramel. Orange blossoms and white pepper spice express themselves at the back of the bouquet. Palate showcases copious spice and orange citrus with added brown sugar and a white fig finish. I’d enjoy this subtle and delicate tequila in a Tequila Matador, the citrus nature of the 1800 Silver would complement the lime and pineapple juices very well. 1.5oz 1800 Silver Tequila, 1 Tbsp lime juice, 3oz pineapple juice, shake with ice, strain into a glass. ~ $26

1800 Reposado Tequila Reserve, 100% Agave ~ Mild nose of sweet cream, smoke, cinnamon spice and almonds. The clean mouthfeel exhibits black pepper and smoke, with additional flavors of sweet tobacco and humidor notes of cedar. A pleasant essence of apricot reveals itself in the finish. I’m a big fan of reposados in their pure state, in a rocks glass, up. But if you are more of a tender soul, use this fine beverage as a float in a classic margarita on the rocks, hold the salt. ~ $26

1800 Tequila Reserve Antigua – Añejo, 100% Agave ~ Velvety sweet nose of honey with touches of blueberries. Added smoke aromas and a hint of dark cocoa powder. Smoke upfront on the palate followed by nutmeg and sweet paprika spices. Slightly cloyant with notes of honey. I haven’t had this cocktail in a while, and you have to be careful of the high sugar content. The next day can be murder if you get too carried away, but Cactus Juice is a tasty beverage. 1oz 1800 Tequila Reserve Antigua, 1/2oz Amaretto, fill with sweet & sour. Fill a chimney glass with ice and pour in this order, the Amaretto will sink to the bottom and make this a very attractive drink. Do not garnish with a cherry, it will ruin the flavor. ~ $38
