Win a Trip to The Texas Hill Country

I know a few people who might try out for this one, so I’m sharing it.

From Wine Enthusiast Magazine:

Everything really is bigger in Texas: It’s the No. 5 wine-producing state in the U.S., the Texas Hill Country American Viticultural Area is the second largest in the nation and its most promising wines boast supersized flavors. Visitors may flock here to sip wine, but they end up drinking in the romance of the region, too.

The winner of this prize receives:

  • Round-trip flights and transportation for two to Texas
  • Up to 8-night accommodations at local B&Bs and winery accommodations in the Texas Hill Country
  • Guaranteed visits at up to 12 wineries
  • Select exquisite multi-course wine-and-food dinners

  1. Steve Howe says:

My father grew up in the panhandle of Texas and we visited when I was a child. The Texas that comes to mind is flat dry land and a “dry” county that to this day does not allow alcohol!

I really must visit the Texas wine country to see another side of Texas.

  2. Jo Diaz says:

Still dry after all of these years… Amazing. Thanks for the Prohibition update. What an funny country we have, Steve.
